Welcome to the Sunningwell Parish Council Website

Sunningwell is an ancient settlement in a fold of the slopes which lead down from Boars Hill towards Abingdon. Its name reveals its origins. The Parish covers Sunningwell, Bayworth, part of Boars Hill and Whitecross.

SUNNINGWELL PARISH VILLAGE GREEN

This Parish Council has been pleased to continue developing the use of the village green.

This year five benches have been installed to encourage parishioners to "sit and enjoy the view".

The successful bonfire and firework evening held last November is to be repeated this year.

The carol singing procession is also on the calendar.

Similarly this year's pig roast and entertainment was very well received and plans are in hand to have a similar event in 2015.

To help with the refreshments  at these events a wooden gazebo style structure will be installed shortly.

VILLAGE POND

The seat around the willow tree is to be replaced.

BAYWORTH TRIANGLE

The regular grass cutting and other improvements, such as the planters, have helped make the triangle more attractive and welcoming.

LOCALISM ACT
